How do I transfer my existing services to you (Comsource)?

We can help you transfer your existing services with minimal effort. All you need to do is fill out a Service Application Form with your current service provider's details and we will take care of the rest. You can also contact our customer support team if you have any questions or concerns. We are happy to assist you with your transition and provide you with the best service possible.

How long will the process be when transferring from current provider to you (Comsource)?

The process of transferring from your current provider to us(Comsource) is simple. Depending on the complexity of the port request. We have two(2) types of port.

  • CAT A or Simple Port: A CAT A port time frame can range from 5 days to 3 weeks, providing all information provided is correct and no rejections are issued by losing carrier.
  • CAT C or Complex Port: A CAT C port time frame can range from 4 weeks to 8 weeks, providing all information provided is correct and no rejections are issued by losing carrier.
What are the requirements when transferring a service? 
  • You need to contact the service provider and inform them of your intention to transfer the service.
  • You need to create an account with us (Comsource) by filling up and signing the Service Application Form.
  • You need to provide us the phone numbers that needed to be transferred and your latest invoice from your current carrier.
The current account owner has left the company. How do we update/change to the new owner? 
  • Go to our website https://www.comsource.com.au/support/downloads
  • Download the Change of Ownership Form and fill out all the required information.
  • Please note that only the current account owner can initiate this process. If you have any questions or issues, please contact our support team.
Can I have a Softphone and a physical phone on the same extension/user? 

Yes

Can I use my existing phone (Third party phone) or do I need to buy a new one from you? 
  • We highly recommend getting a new phone from us to prevent any issue(s) with activation and provisioning. 
  • You may use your existing phone (Third party phone) with our network, as long as it is compatible. 
Can we manage our own Hosted PBX? 

No. For security purposes. Comsource as your service provider manages all changes with your phone system. You can contact our customer support team for any assistance or changes with your phone system. 

How to register my account to Direct Debit? 

Please visit our website https://www.comsource.com.au/support/downloads and download the Direct Debit Amendment form. 

Fill up/signed the form and send it to our support team at support@comsource.com.au

Can I use my own modem with a 4G back up service?

Much depends on the modem that you own, please call our team on 1300 882 896 to check your modem’s compatibility.

Can my phone system divert called to my mobile?

Yes, this is something which you can activate from time to time or call our support team to make the change for you.

Can I get a new phone number for my new business?

Yes, we can provide you with a range of numbers to choose from, equally you can bring your existing advertised number with you.  

I want to work remotely; How can your system allow me to do this?

Easy, you can either mirror your desk phone with a softphone app, our you can have a standalone softphone with it’s own number and contacts, separate from your desk phone.

Can I have custom hold music?

Yes we include a customised welcome message and menu. Or perhaps you already have professional audio, just send us the file.

What the best way to manage voicemail?

You can check it via email, or you can check it via the extension or both. 

My business is growing, how can I set up a new number for each state?

We can help with State Specific numbers or 13/ 1300 inbound services.
